It’s been a few months since I last worked on the route. I haven’t given up on the project. Due to other commitments, I haven’t had the time. To reduce my overhead, I’ll be posting updates on my main website at http://oran.hoshiru.net once again.
It’s been really busy at school and work and the project hasn’t been touched in a while. I hope to start it up again as things start to clear up, probably as late as mid-June.
Meanwhile, in the real world, Sound Transit is expanding Link light rail testing along the entire route beginning Monday, May 18. Intensive testing will happen between 6 am to 6 pm from Tukwila International Boulevard station to Stadium station just south of the transit tunnel entrance. Trains will also be tested in the downtown transit tunnel between 9 am and 3 pm. I’ll be down there to check it out.
Downtown Seattle Transit Tunnel extension of NB route in progress.
As you can see the curves don’t seem to be accurate enough compared with the real map. I have to brush up on my surveying knowledge on staking out curves and attempt to recreate those nice spiral curves.
